What you'll do
- Operate and enhance large-scale, highly-available database infrastructure using MySQL and Vitess.
- Develop tools for self-service and self-management of database infrastructure to support other engineering teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to advise on database storage needs throughout the development lifecycle.
- Create code and dashboards to capture and analyze database performance for actionable insights.
- Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with operations to triage and resolve production issues.
What you should know
- Ideal candidates have 5+ years experience in data storage or distributed systems at scale.
