What you'll do
- Lead design and development of payment and money-movement systems including payout generation, KYC, and webhook reconciliation with zero downtime and full auditability.
- Build and maintain the Trust & Safety stack covering fraud screening, sanctions, identity verification, and time-tracking audits for suspicious activity.
- Own and improve operator tooling such as admin dashboards and ledgers to ensure safe and reliable pay cycles.
- Drive schema design, migrations, and backfills on Postgres with a focus on safe deployment and data integrity.
- Set engineering standards through system design reviews, incident response, observability, and mentorship within the Pay squad.
