What you'll do
- Lead design, development, and testing of core Gusto products including Payroll, Benefits, HR, and Retirement.
- Mentor engineers to solve complex technical problems in large-scale, high-impact domains.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, Design, and Platform teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Own multi-quarter projects focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability of large Ruby/Rails and JavaScript/React applications.
- Drive product lifecycle from early design through launch and iteration, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
